The Donkey Sanctuary knitted donkeys are proving so popular that they need extra help!
The Donkey Sanctuary are looking for keen knitters to turn their needles towards
creating a herd of knitted donkeys to sell through their Visitor's Centre
and online Gift Shop.
Being so popular, the knitted donkeys will help The Donkey Sanctuary to raise much
needed funds. The pattern itself originally came from a 1954 issue of
the Woman's Weekly magazine. It's wonderful that it has been revived
over 50 years later!
As each one is individually hand made, all the knitted donkeys are
truly unique creations with their own personalities, just like the
Sanctuary's real life donkeys.
The Donkey Sanctuary are thrilled with the success of these lovable characters and due
to their popularity, they are calling on their supporters to get knitting and
help raise money for the work that they do providing sanctuary for needy
donkeys.
